During this time, we also recognized the need to promote health equity and began by collaborating with community leaders and public policy decision makers to address social determinants of health. Since opening our doors, we have worked diligently to cultivate community partnerships. We are very proud of the following accomplishments we’ve put into place in just three short years.
The American College of Physicians cites transportation as a critical factor in limiting a patient’s ability to access care.3 As such, Fast Lab’s partnership with UBER has resulted in a mobile delivery service that is offered at no cost to many Fast Lab patients.*
On September 2021, Fast Lab was granted permission from the FDA to sell at-home Antigen COVID-19 tests in New York City. Only one other medical laboratory was granted this permission.
As a result of on-demand functionality, patients were able to conveniently order Fast Lab COVID-19 tests from the privacy of their homes — eliminating long wait times often associated with office visits.
Two of the most prevalent barriers to care include insufficient health insurance and financial limitations. In accordance with our belief that everyone should be able to achieve optimal health, Fast Lab offers discounted fees for our patients who qualify.
