We’re Reimagining Community Healthcare

Since COVID-19 became a global pandemic in 2020, there have been 776 million cases reported worldwide.1 By mid-2021, the Omicron variant became the most common strain of the virus in the United States. Consequently, the demand for diagnostic tests that could rapidly and accurately diagnose this strain of COVID skyrocketed.

Recognizing the need to make accurate and reliable at-home COVID-19 tests easily accessible, marketing visionary Cemhan Biricik launched Fast Lab Technologies in September 2021 — giving people the opportunity to purchase Antigen and PCR at-home COVID-19 tests online. Best of all, patients who ordered Fast Lab’s Antigen at-home test were able to receive their test results in as little as 20 minutes 2.

Fast Lab is removing barriers to care among vulnerable populations.

During this time, we also recognized the need to promote health equity and began by collaborating with community leaders and public policy decision makers to address social determinants of health.  Since opening our doors, we have worked diligently to cultivate community partnerships. We are very proud of the following accomplishments we’ve put into place in just three short years:

At the height of the COVID-19 epidemic, Fast Lab was the first lab to partner with Uber to deliver COVID-19 tests directly to patients’ homes.

The American College of Physicians cites transportation as a critical factor in limiting a patient’s ability to access care.3 As such, Fast Lab’s partnership with UBER has resulted in a mobile delivery service that is offered at no cost to many Fast Lab patients.* This innovative service eliminated the need for patients to travel, thereby reducing the risk of COVID-19 exposure.

Partnered with the FDA to secure rapid approval of at-home Fast Lab Antigen COVID-19 tests.

On September 2021, Fast Lab was granted permission from the FDA to sell at-home Antigen COVID-19 tests in New York City. Only one other medical laboratory was granted this permission.

Gave patients the opportunity to purchase at-home Antigen and PCR Fast Lab COVID-19 tests online.

As a result of on-demand functionality, patients were able to conveniently order Fast Lab COVID-19 tests from the privacy of their homes — eliminating long wait times often associated with office visits.

Removed barriers to healthcare by establishing payment assistance programs in place for self-paying and low-income patients.

Two of the most prevalent barriers to care include insufficient health insurance and financial limitations. In accordance with our belief that everyone should be able to achieve optimal health, Fast Lab has offered and continues to offer discounted testing for all patients who qualify

Fast Lab is committed to fostering community partnerships that promote health equity. We will continue to advocate for our patients through education and outreach under the leadership of Cemhan Biricik, CEO.
